Bobcats

I thought you might like to know a little about Bobcats being as Pixie Bobs are bred to look as much as possible like them! Bobcats are the smallest of the 4 species of lynx with males weighing between 18 and 30lbs and females between 14 and 25lbs. Their spotted coat varies from a reddish tan to a greyish brown with black stripes on their front legs and tail. They have pointed ears with black tufts and their characteristic bobtail.

Other than the differences borne out of living in the wild, their lives, manner and eating habits are very similar to a domestic cat. They feed on small animals such as squirrels and rabbits, similar to the Scottish wild cat.
