Welcome to Bewitched Pixie Bobs, we are a home based cattery for this absolutely extraordinary, rare and enchanting breed, which is bred to look like the North American Bobcat, in all its wild and majestic beauty! We have many years of experience in owning various moggies and pedigrees, as well as some Persian rescue work.
I have heard many other breeds make claims about their cats incredible temperaments, however nothing could have prepared me for the intense devotion that Pixie Bobs give their owners. They really are like no other cat, having the most fabulous wild features, large stature and dense coats but with almost dog-like characters. They can be trained to walk on a lead, and will learn to play fetch. The Pixie bob doesn't like to be seperated from its owners, and will never be too far away, always looking for a cuddle. It might sound corny, but once you actually experience it for yourself no other breed will do.
We have a stunning litter of kittens that were born on Valentines Day, to our incredible 03 foundation queen Luna.
BEWITCHED is part of a selective group of reputable breeders for the Pixie Bob in the UK and in Europe, we work with lines which we believe trace back to bobcat/domestic matings. We breed to keep alive that bobcat look, whilst selecting for temperament, health and size. Being many generations removed from what we believe to be semi-wild origins, our cats are fully domestic with high intelligence and very stable, dog-like temperaments.
We are in full support of the TICA requirement to breed any outcrossed cats of unverified origin to a full SBT or SBV Pixie Bob for 4 generations, before the offspring is eligible to be shown. This allows us to select for the characteristics we value, to exclude unexpected traits and to hopefully move closer to a consistent look for our long-hair and short-haired Pixie Bobs.
Bewitched is registered with T.I.C.A. and is a member of their voluntary responsible breeding program, we are proud to adhere to the T.I.C.A. code of ethics.
